delicious story?

My task today is to come up with a story about food. I honestly tried to make up something interesting, but I didn’t really succeed.
Food is our topic now, and I noticed the following phrase in one exercise:

This is Friends reference. I love Friends :)

So, I decided it would be interesting to remember that episode where Rachel was cooking her legendary trifle.

Trifle in English cuisine is a sweet cold dish consisting of a layer of fruit and cake, a layer of custard and a top layer of cream.

Rachel decided to make it as a Thanksgiving dessert. She is not a very experienced cook, so beef in the recipe only slightly embarrassed her.

But the beef in the trifle concerned Ross and Joey, and it transpires that two of the pages in Monica’s cookbook are stuck together. So Rachel’s trifle is actually half Shepherd’s Pie.

Shepherd’s pie or cottage pie is a ground meat pie with a crust or topping of mashed potato of English origin.

Ross and Joey decide to convince everyone to pretend her “beef-custard thing” is actually delicious so as not to hurt her feelings.

After that everything is going on according to the traditions of the sitcoms — the characters are suffering, trying to get rid of the dessert and not offend Rachel.

In the end, it suddenly turns out that Joey liked the unusual dish!

custard? good! jam? good! beef? GOOD!!!!

That’s all for today :)
For the most daring and bored — a dessert recipe is down below :D
